Civilians Injured in Southern Lebanon Following Alleged Israeli Offensive in Middle East Crisis Reporting

Saturday's reports of explosions near Eilat, Israel's southern port city, were investigated by military officials who found no evidence suggesting a security incident in the area. According to Reuters, an absence of projectiles being fired towards the city and lack of interceptor missile launches indicated that there was likely no threat present.

Meanwhile, at least 80 people sustained injuries due to Israeli fighter jets conducting airstrikes on Hodeidah port in Yemen's Houthi-controlled region. The attacks targeted a refinery and electricity infrastructure, resulting in significant fires. This marked the first direct assault by Israel on Yemeni targets since the beginning of hostilities with Houthi rebels last year.

Almasirah TV, affiliated with the Houthis' military operations, reported these events while the IDF claimed that its fighter jets responded to hundreds of attacks on Israel in recent months by striking strategic locations within Yemen. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu later stated that Hodeidah port was targeted due to allegations of it being utilized for hostile purposes, emphasizing that there is no place unreachable by the state's military actions.

Following a Houthi drone attack on central Tel Aviv, which resulted in one death and multiple injuries, Israeli forces retaliated with airstrikes throughout the Gaza Strip, including at least 39 fatalities in Rafah city. Additionally, an airstrike near al-Nuseirat camp killed three individuals and wounded eight others.

Reports from Lebanon suggested that Israeli strikes on Adloun targeted an ammunition depot belonging to Hezbollah, with rocket explosions causing minimal casualties. This event came amidst continued exchanges of fire between Israel and Palestininas supported by Hezbollah since the initial attack on southern Israel.

Israeli fighter jets also launched airstrikes in Yemen's Hodeidah, following drone attacks from the Houthis against Tel Aviv. The IDF justified these actions as retaliation for perceived threats and stated that it targeted military infrastructure within the region.
