Tadej Pogacar claimed consecutive wins in the Pyrenees after triumphing at Pla d'Adet and outpacing Jonas Vingegaard on stage 15 to Plateau de Beille.
The anticipated showdown between the two athletes appeared promising, but ultimately favored Pogacar. Despite efforts by other contenders, including Remco Evenepoel, no one could bridge the gap created by Pogacar's powerful performance.
Approaching the finish line with 11 kilometers left to race, Pogacar once again outran his rival, this time using a subtle acceleration technique rather than an explosive effort. This maneuver put him in the lead and widened the gap between them considerably.
Jonas Vingegaard struggled towards the end of the stage, losing over a minute to Pogacar who was now well ahead in the overall standings, leaving Evenepoel far behind as well.
