Noah Caluori, the 19-year-old Saracens wing, has been included in England’s squad for the upcoming autumn internationals by head coach Steve Borthwick.
Caluori made an impression in the Premiership with a five-try performance against Sale on 18 October. As England prepare for a packed November schedule with four Tests, Borthwick has selected the uncapped player after inviting him to a training camp earlier. The 36-man squad, consisting of 19 forwards and 17 backs, assembled at Pennyhill Park in Surrey on Sunday evening.
Caluori made his second Premiership start for Saracens in Friday’s loss to league leaders Northampton. While his performance was less explosive than his standout display against Sale, he faced a stern defensive challenge from Northampton’s versatile attack.
His composure in aerial contests was notable, however, and Borthwick’s decision to include him suggests he sees potential for Caluori to feature at the 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia. Leicester’s Adam Radwan, who impressed in his side’s win over Sale on Saturday and was part of Borthwick’s training squad, misses out on selection. Radwan’s teammate Emeka Ilione is also absent due to a shoulder issue.
Sale flanker Tom Curry has been recalled following wrist surgery after the British & Irish Lions tour earlier this year, while scrum-half Raffi Quirke returns from injury.
Harlequins forward Chandler Cunningham-South is included despite a recent ankle problem, while Saracens’ Elliot Daly and Leicester’s George Martin and Jack van Poortvliet will join the squad for injury rehabilitation.
“Our priority is to maximize our preparation time ahead of a challenging series,” Borthwick said. “Facing Australia first will be a tough contest—they are a cohesive squad and currently among the strongest teams in the world.”
Caluori faces strong competition for a starting spot in the backline. Northampton’s Tommy Freeman, who scored four tries in their victory over Saracens, could shift to outside-centre, while several other top-class wing options are available.
Immanuel Feyi-Waboso scored his seventh Premiership try this season in Exeter’s win over Gloucester on Saturday, leading the try-scoring charts. Sale’s Tom Roebuck has five tries, and Bath’s Henry Arundell has four.
Meanwhile, Exeter’s Henry Slade tops the league’s points table with 70 in five rounds, rediscovering his best form at 32. Slade has started Exeter’s last two matches at centre alongside new signing Len Ikitau of Australia, setting up a potential reunion at Twickenham this weekend.
The fly-half position remains unpredictable after George Ford’s strong performances on the summer tour.
