Lions scramble to replace injured scrum-half after Tomos Williams setback.

**CuriosityNews: Lions Scrum-Half Situation Remains Fluid Following Injury**

The British & Irish Lions are evaluating their scrum-half options following an injury to Tomos Williams. The Welsh player's absence, potentially sidelining him during a crucial part of the squad's Australian tour, means the coaching staff must find a replacement.

Head coach Andy Farrell stated a decision on a replacement would be made soon, considering Scotland's Ben White among the leading candidates. Williams had scored two tries in a commendable display as the Lions defeated Western Force 54-7, but he sustained a left hamstring tweak during his second try.

This leaves the Lions with only two available scrum-halves, one of whom, Jamison Gibson-Park, is still recovering from a strained glute muscle. Farrell felt Gibson-Park would be ready to play against the Queensland Reds on Wednesday. However, a full-time replacement would be needed if Williams cannot play, with Alex Mitchell the only other available option at the position.

White has just arrived in New Zealand and could be moved quickly to Brisbane if required. For now, Farrell still awaits confirmation on the extent of Williams' injury. "There was plenty of cramp last week, let's hope it is one of those," said Farrell. "He was playing well and I am certain there is a degree of concern, but you must focus on the present situation."

Farrell stressed no immediate worries regarding Gibson-Park. "Jamison is fit and prepared to play after training solidly for almost a week. We feel good about him, but we won't know about Williams until Friday morning."

Reflecting on their opening game in Australia, Farrell was content with the result following their loss to Argentina. "I am happy with the scoreline and the manner in which we achieved it, especially considering the week's previous game wasn't going smoothly. We adjusted things and played well."

He was also pleased with the efforts of Mack Hansen and the young debutant Henry Pollock, despite a yellow card received by Pollock just before halftime for repeated infringements. "He did receive a yellow card because of that, which wasn't unjust, but you saw his impact, there's no doubt about that. He is learning and there's much to work on. He is definitely part of our future plans."

Lions captain Dan Sheehan has also praised Pollock's performance.
