Hamas confirmed on Thursday that an agreement had been reached following discussions, which includes an Israeli withdrawal from the region and an exchange of hostages and prisoners.

### National Guard Deployed to Protect Federal Property in Chicago
A limited contingent of National Guard troops has been stationed to secure federal property in the Chicago area and support law enforcement in Memphis as of Wednesday, officials confirmed.
Approximately 200 Texas Guard personnel are operating in the Chicago region, according to a U.S. Northern Command spokesperson who communicated with the Associated Press anonymously to discuss undisclosed details.
Their mission involves safeguarding U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilities and other federal properties, as well as protecting law enforcement personnel, Northern Command stated.
An additional 300 troops from Illinois arrived on Tuesday at a U.S. Army Reserve Center in Elwood, located 55 miles southwest of Chicago. The combined force, under Northern Command, has been activated for 60 days. Details regarding their armament were not immediately available.
Earlier, Trump demanded the arrest of Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, alleging they neglected the safety of ICE officers.
"The Chicago Mayor should face legal consequences for failing to secure ICE Officers! Governor Pritzker as well!" Trump wrote on his social media platform Wednesday morning.
Both Johnson and Pritzker, who are Democrats, opposed the deployment of National Guard personnel to the Chicago area under the Trump administration’s orders.
