Prime Minister Trudeau Accuses India of 'Horrendous Error' Against Canada's Sovereignty

At a public inquiry, Justin Trudeau has criticized India for transgressing Canadian sovereignty by disregarding efforts to collaborate and escalating tensions between the two nations over the killing of a Sikh separatist activist in British Columbia (BC) along with allegations suggesting an extensive campaign against Indian expatriates.

Speaking at this public hearing, Trudeau accused Delhi's authorities of rejecting cooperation and triggering the intensifying diplomatic dispute that culminated in simultaneous dismissal of senior ambassadors on a recent Monday. He clarified his intention was not to provoke or instigate conflict with India: "We are keenly focused on maintaining our valuable relationship, yet we firmly believe it's imperative for Canada’s security that this sovereignty be respected."

Trudeau detailed in the most explicit way till now how he thinks Indian government wrongfully interfered with Canadians safety: "The Canadian authorities privately communicated evidence to their counterparts. Despite these efforts, they remained uncooperative," Trudeau stated while addressing allegations of India's involvement leading to a surge in violence against dissidents within Canada."

Trudeau also made serious claims that intelligence suggests opposition Conservative party members were at risk or involved with foreign interference. He further divulged the National Security and Intelligence Committee found evidence about such incursions during Tory's leadership convention, which he refuses to investigate due its potential political implications: "The absence of interest in understanding these allegations is simply irresponsible," Trudeau argued against Poilievre.

Lastly, the prime minister confirmed a parliamentary committee would immediately start an urgent examination into RCMP claims that agents from Indian government have been connected to violent crimes within Canada."
