### Thailand Conducts Airstrikes on Cambodian Military Sites
Military sources report that Thailand has carried out airstrikes against two Cambodian military positions.
"We conducted air operations against planned military targets," stated Thai army deputy spokesperson Richa Suksuwanon.
### Border Clashes Escalat
Thai officials claim they detected an unmanned aerial vehicle before spotting six armed Cambodian soldiers approaching a Thai outpost. According to reports, Thai troops attempted to de-escalate the situation verbally, but Cambodian forces opened fire first.
Cambodia’s defense ministry, however, stated that Thai forces initiated the confrontation, violating Cambodian territory. They asserted that Cambodian troops acted in self-defense.
### Cambodian Prime Minister's Statement
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet accused Thailand of attacking military positions near Prasat Ta Moan Thom and Prasat Ta Krabey in Oddar Meanchey province. The clashes reportedly extended to areas near Cambodia’s Preah Vihear and Thailand’s Ubon Ratchathani provinces.
"Cambodia always seeks peaceful solutions," said Hun Manet. "But in this case, we had to respond with force to armed aggression."
### Thai Military Deploys F-16 Jets
Thailand’s military has confirmed the deployment of F-16 fighter jets near the Cambodian border. A regional army division stated that one F-16 had been activated, with five more prepared for potential operations.
### Civilian Casualties Reported
At least two Thai civilians were killed, and two others injured by Cambodian shelling, according to a Thai official. Approximately 40,000 residents from 86 villages in Thailand’s Surin province have been evacuated.
### Diplomatic Tension Escalates
Thailand has recalled its ambassador from Cambodia and intends to expel Cambodia’s envoy from Bangkok. The Thai embassy has also advised its citizens in Cambodia to leave due to the rising conflict.
