Gaza Residents Described as 'Walking Corpses' by UN Agency
The head of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency has stated that workers are collapsing from hunger while on duty.
Philippe Lazzarini posted on social media: “A colleague in Gaza told me this morning, ‘People in Gaza are neither dead nor alive, they are walking corpses.’”
“The worsening crisis is impacting everyone, including those attempting to provide aid in the war-affected area. UNRWA health workers are subsisting on one small meal a day, often only lentils, if they can find food.”
“Many are now fainting from hunger during their shifts. When those providing care cannot secure enough to eat, the entire aid system is on the verge of collapse.”

EU Warns of Potential Measures if Gaza Aid Conditions Do Not Improve
The European Commission acknowledged on Thursday that Israel has taken steps to enhance aid access to Gaza, but the situation remains critical.
A spokesperson stated that the EU is evaluating conditions and that further actions remain possible should Israel fail to uphold commitments made earlier this month regarding humanitarian relief in Gaza.
The agreement includes increasing daily deliveries of food and essential supplies, opening additional entry points in both northern and southern Gaza, and resuming aid routes from Jordan and Egypt.
