Russia-Ukraine conflict updates: Overnight, Ukraine destroys five missiles and 11 drones in ongoing skirmish.

Ukrainian air defenses successfully intercepted five cruise missiles and a dozen unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) overnight, according to Ukraine's Air Force commander. Lt Gen Mykola Oleschuk disclosed that the attacks originated from the Saratov region of Russia, targeting Ukrainian regions including Khmelnytskyi and Sumy among others.

During the night, a total of 19 drones were deployed in various locations across Ukraine; however, air defenses managed to neutralize eleven of them over cities such as Mykolaiv and Kyiv. Oleschuk suggested that any remaining eight unaccounted-for drones might have been decoys designed to test the efficacy of Ukrainian air defense systems.
ranking down a total of seven missiles and UAVs, Ukraine's response highlights an ongoing effort to counteract Russian aggression in their skies.
