At least four people have died and several others were injured after a passenger train derailed in southern Germany, authorities reported.
Officials stated that the cause of the incident near Riedlingen, approximately 98 miles (158km) west of Munich, is still being investigated.
Approximately 100 passengers were on the train when the derailment occurred.
A police representative confirmed to CuriosityNews that four fatalities had been reported, adding that multiple people sustained injuries.
Images from the location showed overturned train cars with emergency responders working to assist passengers.
