Two men have been killed and a third is in critical condition after a stabbing incident in central London.
Authorities responded to a location on Long Lane in Southwark at 1 p.m. on Monday, where four people had been stabbed.
A 58-year-old man died at the scene, while three others were taken to hospitals, according to local law enforcement. A 27-year-old man later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. A suspect in his 30s is in custody and is also hospitalized with life-threatening wounds.
Another man, also in his 30s, remains hospitalized, though his injuries are not thought to be severe.
Detective Chief Superintendent Emma Bond, overseeing the investigation, stated: “We are in the initial stages of our inquiry and are working to determine the full details of this distressing event.
"At this time, there is no indication of terrorism, and we believe there is no ongoing danger to the public.
"Officers will maintain a visible presence in the area, and we urge anyone with relevant information to come forward.”
