"Unrwa warns Gaza residents are 'walking corpses' with 6,000 aid trucks awaiting entry amid crisis"

Gaza Residents Described as 'Walking Corpses' by UN Agency

The head of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency has stated that workers are collapsing from hunger while on duty.

Philippe Lazzarini posted on social media: “A colleague in Gaza told me this morning, ‘People in Gaza are neither dead nor alive, they are walking corpses.’”

“The worsening crisis is impacting everyone, including those attempting to provide aid in the war-affected area. UNRWA health workers are subsisting on one small meal a day, often only lentils, if they can find food.”

“Many are now fainting from hunger during their shifts. When those providing care cannot secure enough to eat, the entire aid system is on the verge of collapse.”

Eight Soldiers Injured After Deliberate Car Ramming Incident

The Israeli military reported that eight soldiers were wounded on Thursday when a driver intentionally struck a bus stop, an act authorities labeled a “terror attack.”

According to the army, two soldiers sustained moderate injuries, while six others suffered minor wounds. The incident took place at the Beit Lid junction near Kfar Yona in central Israel.

“The injured soldiers were taken to a hospital, and their families have been informed,” the military said in a statement.

EU Warns of Potential Measures if Gaza Aid Conditions Do Not Improve

The European Commission acknowledged on Thursday that Israel has taken steps to enhance aid access to Gaza, but the situation remains critical.

A spokesperson stated that the EU is evaluating conditions and that further actions remain possible should Israel fail to uphold commitments made earlier this month regarding humanitarian relief in Gaza.

The agreement includes increasing daily deliveries of food and essential supplies, opening additional entry points in both northern and southern Gaza, and resuming aid routes from Jordan and Egypt.

Police Investigate Intentional Car Attack on Bus Stop

Israeli authorities are searching for a driver who deliberately crashed into a bus stop on Thursday, injuring eight people in what they described as a “terror attack.”

An eyewitness recounted that the driver swerved aggressively before accelerating toward the crowd.

“He turned sharply, sped up, and struck as many people as possible,” said Kineret Hanuka, 45. “All I saw was blood, and I could hear them screaming in pain—it was horrific.”

Emergency responders reported that a man and a woman in their 20s were hospitalized with moderate chest and limb injuries, while three others sustained minor to moderate wounds.
